A child’s first experiences on skis are crucial. To inspire children to progress, ESi Génération focuses on a learning approach that is gradual, fun, and tailored to the youngest skiers.
About Children’s Ski Lessons at ESi Génération
Group lessons for beginners are limited to a maximum of six children. This ensures the instructor can give genuine attention to each child. This small-group format allows instructors to respect each child’s pace and provide calm, steady guidance as they discover the joys of skiing for the first time.
Suitable for ages 4 and up
From the age of four, children gradually learn to find their balance, move across the snow, and master basic skiing techniques. Exercises are adapted to their abilities and take place in a safe area suited to their skill level.
Schedules
Group lesson schedules for toddlers vary depending on the time of the season. Below, you will find the various time slots offered during Christmas, the February holidays, Easter, and outside school holiday periods, making it easy to choose the best option for your stay in Serre Chevalier.

Ski pass and equipment
Please feel free to contact us to find out about all our packages at preferential rates, including equipment hire.
Before the first session, take the time to get all your child’s gear ready. Lift passes and ski equipment are not included in group lessons; please arrange these separately before meeting the instructor. Comfort and properly fitted gear are especially important for a child’s first time on skis. Equipment that is too big, poorly adjusted, or uncomfortable can quickly tire a child out and make learning more difficult.
About equipment for children’s ski lessons
Essential gear for young skiers
- A lift pass suitable for their age and the area used during lessons
- Skis suited to their height and skill level, correctly adjusted
- Comfortable ski boots that fit properly
- A helmet—essential for protecting your child while skiing
- Warm, waterproof gloves or mittens
- Ski goggles to protect their eyes from sun, wind, and glare
- Warm, waterproof clothing suitable for winter conditions
- Sunscreen and lip balm—useful even on cloudy days
Proper equipment ensures your child stays comfortable throughout the session and can focus on learning. With the right preparation, they can discover the joy of skiing in ideal conditions and get the most out of their group lesson.
